Julien Jacot has held a variety of roles in the engineering and R&D fields. In 2012, they completed a machining traineeship at ETML, Ecole technique Ecole des métiers in Lausanne. In 2015, they took on the role of R&D student assistant at 1Drop Diagnostics. In 2016, they were an Engineer in the R&D Quality Assurance Technology lab at Philip Morris International, in a temporary position. In 2017, they began working at SAV-IOL, taking on the roles of Manufacturing Manager and R&D Engineer. In 2021, they moved to Anton Paar Tritec SA, where they are currently the Head of Product Engineering. In 2022, they will return to SAV-IOL as the R&D Manager.
Julien Jacot completed their Bachelor of Science in Microengineering from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) in 2014. Julien then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Micro- and Nano-Systems from the same institution in 2016. Prior to their studies at EPFL, Julien completed their Baccalauréat from Lycée Blaise-Cendrars in 2009, with a focus in Biologie & Chimie. In addition to their formal education, Julien has obtained certifications in Machine Learning from Coursera (2020), Manufacture d'idées from FSRM Fondation Suisse pour la Recherche en Microtechnique (2019), and Lancer une Startup from Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (2016).
