Simon Niepmann

Simon Niepmann is an experienced professional in the field of sports, currently serving as Laufbahnberater and Programmleiter at Swiss Olympic since August 2018. Previous roles include Nachwuchstrainer at Swiss Rowing from May 2018 to March 2023 and a decade as a Profisportler with Swiss Rowing from 2007 to 2017, during which Simon achieved notable success as an Olympiasieger in Rio 2016, as well as a Weltmeister and Europameister. Simon holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Sportwissenschaften und Geografie from the University of Basel and a Trainer Leistungssport mit eidg. Fachausweis from Swiss Olympic/BASPO.
