Peter Burkhalter

Peter Burkhalter has over three decades of experience in accounting and finance, currently serving as Head of Accounting at Swisscom since November 1997. In this role, responsibilities include leading and organizing corporate accounting, financial reporting under IFRS, FER, and OR standards, and overseeing audit and internal control systems. Prior to Swisscom, Peter Burkhalter worked as a Wirtschaftsprüfer at PwC from February 1989 to October 1997, providing auditing and consulting services. Earlier experience includes serving as Division Controller at fenaco from August 1986 to May 1988. Peter Burkhalter holds a diploma in Financial Strategy from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, along with diplomas as a Wirtschaftsprüfer and as an expert in accounting and controlling from University of Zurich.
