Markus Imhof

Markus Imhof has a diverse work experience in the energy sector. Markus started their career at the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand as an intern in 2007. In 2008, they worked as an intern at Levitronix, where they gained experience in the development department for magnetic mounted pumps. At ETH Zurich, they worked as a scientific staff at the Power Systems Laboratory from 2009 to 2015. In 2016, they joined AWK Group AG as a consultant. At Swissgrid AG, they held various roles, including Specialist Market Development, Senior Specialist Product Development, and Head of Balancing & Scheduling, starting in 2018.

Markus Imhof started their education at Kantonsschule Pfäffikon / Nuolen, where they obtained their Matura degree in Mathematik und Physik in the year 2003. Markus then attended ETH Zürich and completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Elektrotechnik und Elektronik in the years 2003 to 2008. Markus further pursued their education at ETH Zürich and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Elektrotechnik from 2008 to 2009. Later, Markus Imhof attended University of Michigan in the year 2014 as part of an Academic Exchange program. Finally, from 2009 to 2015, they completed their Dr. sc. ETH Zurich degree in Elektrotechnik und Elektronik at ETH Zürich.
