Pedro Camilo Silva

Pedro Camilo Silva is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as a Grid Studies Engineer and Grid Congestion Forecast & Optimisation engineer at Swissgrid AG since October 2022. Previously, Pedro worked at Alpiq as an Electrical Engineering Specialist, focusing on electrical systems for renewable energy assets across Europe. Prior roles include serving as Commissioning Leader for the Nant de Drance pumped storage project at HYDRO Exploitation SA, and as a Postdoctoral Scientist at EPFL, where research centered on optimizing power electronics for pumped hydro storage systems. Pedro holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from EPFL, as well as an M.Sc. from EPFL and a Bachelor's degree from Universidade Federal de Itajubá, further complemented by previous experiences at Alstom Power Brazil and an engineering internship at Whirlpool Corporation.
