James Sharples

James Sharples possesses over 25 years of extensive experience in business acceleration and engineering within the automation and logistics industry. Since joining Swisslog in August 1998, James has held multiple leadership roles including VP Global Business Acceleration, Managing Director, and SVP Head of Strategic Accounts, demonstrating expertise in strategic account management, solution design, and sales consulting. Prior to Swisslog, James contributed as a Project Engineer at Wells Soft Drinks from 1991 to 1998, focusing on large-scale greenfield site developments and the relocation of production facilities. James earned a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath from 1988 to 1991.
