Jessica Gelar

Jessica Gelar began their work experience in 2016 as a Clinic Assistant and Receptionist at Triloka Psychology & Integrative Health Centre. Jessica later became a Community Manager at the same company, where they collaborated with a team of healthcare professionals to create online content and executed marketing initiatives. In 2017, they started working as a Freelance Copywriter and Editor, specializing in medical content and creative non-fiction pieces. Jessica then worked at Medical News Bulletin as a Medical Content Writer and later as a Managing Editor, overseeing daily operations and managing a remote team. In 2019, Jessica joined Klick as a Medical Editor, Science & Regulatory, where they led a team of medical editors and acted as a regulatory and scientific consultant. Jessica'smost recent work experience is at Swoop, where they hold the position of Director, Medical Writing & Editorial.

Jessica Gelar has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Biology for the Health Sciences and Professional Writing and Communication from the University of Toronto. Jessica is also pursuing a Conversational Languages: French course at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies since 2020. In 2016, they completed a Strategic Copywriting course at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in leadership and management from LinkedIn.
