Samer Masry

Samer Masry has extensive work experience spanning over 15 years. Samer is currently serving as a Software Architect at SwoopMe, Inc. since September 2020. Samer previously worked at InvestCloud, Inc. as the VP of Engineering from April 2019 to September 2020.

From 2016 to 2019, Samer held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Family Independence Initiative. In this role, they were responsible for building the technology strategy and vision to streamline funds distribution to low-income communities while improving data quality. Samer oversaw a distributed team and collaborated with partners like Google.org and Facebook through the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative to develop their platform.

Samer was an Official Member of Forbes Technology Council from January 2018 to January 2019. Prior to that, they co-founded Sprouts Tech in 2014 and served as the Engineering Lead. Samer led business development efforts, sales generation, and contract negotiations. Sprouts Tech specialized in delivering consumer-focused solutions to startups and worked closely with clients to develop custom technology and data-driven strategies.

Samer served as the Director of Engineering from February 2013 to June 2014, where they built and managed the engineering team for the launch of a p2p resale marketplace. Samer also served as the Engineering Manager from February 2012 to July 2013, where they oversaw the development of internal merchandising applications. Additionally, they held the role of Senior Systems Administrator from March 2011 to February 2012, where they focused on building infrastructure and supporting the Flash Sales e-commerce business.

Samer's career started at IGT in 2006, where they worked as a Senior Production Support Engineer. Samer played a key role in implementing the Remote Game Server infrastructure. Samer also worked at Lithium Technologies as a Senior Production Operations Engineer, responsible for automating the software deployment pipeline and monitoring infrastructure.

In 2006, Samer briefly worked at Intuit as a Senior Systems Operations Engineer, where they were responsible for maintaining the application infrastructure for the Quicken Health Group. Prior to that, they worked at Wells Fargo as a Unix System Administrator/Developer, where they developed deployment frameworks and customized monitoring applications for the Home Mortgage infrastructure.
