Yumali Abeykoon

Yumali Abeykoon is a skilled research specialist currently employed at SW since August 2022, with a prior role as a chemist at the National Water Supply and Drainage Board from February 2019 to August 2022. Responsibilities during the tenure included the collection and analysis of water samples for chemical and bacteriological assessment, addressing water quality complaints, and conducting wastewater testing. Earlier experience as a research trainee at CEAT Specialty Tires Inc. involved improving methods for determining cobalt content and assisting in the testing of tire production materials. Yumali possesses a Master of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Botany, both obtained from the University of Kelaniya.
