Greg Wright

Greg Wright has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Greg has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise in entrepreneurship, technology, and mentoring.

Starting in 1996, Greg worked as a Principle Enterprise Architect at CSC Consulting, where they focused on enterprise architecture. Greg then moved on to Sapient in 2000, serving as the Director of Technology.

In 2002, Greg joined Prepaid Works as the VP and Chief Technology Officer, responsible for technology strategies and implementations. Following this, they worked as an Innovation Architect and Virtual CTO at Mbira Group in 2004, advising startups and enterprises on various aspects of their business.

In 2010, Greg became the Director of IT Acceleration at the Houston Technology Center, overseeing the IT Acceleration Program and creating the Ignition startup bootcamp. Greg also joined the University of Houston in 2013 as the RED Labs co-producer and executive mentor, helping develop the RED Labs summer accelerator and mentoring student and faculty founders.

Greg co-founded Qukku in 2013 and served as the company's Chief Technology Officer. Greg later worked at Hatch Pitch as the Founder, responsible for developing and producing the popular Hatch Pitch competition at SXSW Interactive. Additionally, they worked at SXSW as the Head Coach of the SXSW Pitch startup competition.

Most recently, Greg worked as the Director of Digital Solutions at Bursys in 2020. Throughout their career, Greg has demonstrated a passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and helping startups succeed.

Greg Wright attended the University of Cape Town from 1984 to 1988, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they had also attended Paul Roos Gymnasium, although the specific dates and degree information for this are unknown.
