Karuna Rana

Karuna Rana is a dedicated environmental advocate and co-founder of the Big Ocean States Initiative (BOSI) and SYAH, mobilizing young leaders in Small Island Developing States (SIDS) for sustainable development. With a focus on ocean stewardship and climate adaptation, Karuna has championed initiatives that include banning plastic bags in Seychelles and restoring endemic plants in Comoros. Additionally, participation in high-level discussions at the World Economic Forum and leading sustainability efforts at LOLIWARE highlight Karuna's commitment to impactful policy and innovation. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Environmental and Energy Policy from Michigan Technological University.
