Pek Sam Choo has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the insurance industry. Pek Sam began their career at QBE Insurance as an Assistant Account Executive in the Claims Department, where they provided claims support and ensured efficient processing within company and regulatory guidelines. Pek Sam then joined AIA Berhad, initially as an Admin Executive in the Credit Life Department and later as an Admin Assistant Manager and Admin Manager in the Claims and Corporate Solutions Departments. In these roles, they handled major claims, reinsurance coordination, premium collection, policy owner requests, and customer service. Pek Sam also oversaw daily operational duties, cleared outstanding amounts, and assisted with customer complaints. After their time at AIA Berhad, Pek Sam Choo worked at Great Eastern Life Assurance as a Sales Support Manager in the Group Insurance Department. Currently, they are working at Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad as a Senior Manager in the Bancatakaful Operations Department, where they supervise overall operations, formulates work instructions and process flows, processes payments, and approves transactions within their limit of authority. Pek Sam Choo completed their primary and secondary education at Sekolah Menengah Sin Min in Sungai Petani from 1989 to 1994, where they obtained a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) qualification. Pek Sam then pursued their higher secondary education at Sekolah Menengah Ibrahim in Sungai Petani from 1994 to 1996, earning a Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) qualification. Continuing their education, they attended Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in Bangi from 1996 to 1999, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) degree, specializing in Industrial Economics.
