Susan Grade

Susan Grade is an accomplished art educator with extensive experience in various educational settings. Currently serving as an Art Teacher for 4th-8th grades at Sycamore School since July 2022, Susan previously worked at Herron High School from July 2016 to July 2022, teaching diverse courses in Art History and 3D/Sculpture while fostering a culture of respect and community engagement. Additional roles include Manager of the Garfield Park Arts Center in Indianapolis, Adjunct Instructor at IUPUI, and Director of Community Learning Programs at the Herron School of Art and Design. Earlier career highlights include contributing as a writer for NUVO.net and managing exhibitions at the Indianapolis Art Center and DePauw University. Susan holds a BA in English and Studio Art, an MFA in Sculpture, and is pursuing further education at Purdue University.
