Shriram Bhashyam has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the finance and technology industries.
Shriram started their career as an Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP, where they provided legal advice on regulatory and securities issues. Shriram also worked as a Legal Researcher at the United Nations' International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.
In 2013, Bhashyam co-founded EquityZen, a marketplace for transferring shares of private companies. Shriram held multiple roles at EquityZen, including Co-founder, Head of Business Development + General Counsel, and Founder and Advisor. Shriram played a key role in building an automated and customer-centric platform for the transfer of private company shares.
Bhashyam also worked as an Advisor in the fintech sector, providing guidance to companies like Firneo. Shriram served as a Contributing Writer for TechCrunch and played a significant role in the growth and development of the platform.
In more recent years, Bhashyam worked in strategic roles at companies like Citi, where they served as an Entrepreneur in Residence, and Forge, where they were the SVP and Co-Head of Business Development. Shriram contributed to the development of new business ventures, incubation efforts, and the expansion of private market ecosystems.
Most recently, Bhashyam held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Sydecar, where they played a key role in overseeing operational activities.
Throughout their career, Bhashyam has demonstrated expertise in business development, new product initiatives, legal affairs, and strategic planning.

Shriram Bhashyam completed their Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania from 1998 to 2002. Shriram then pursued a J.D. in Law at Cardozo School of Law from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended Half Hollow Hills High School East from 1994 to 1998. Additionally, Shriram has obtained several certifications including Series 24 (General Securities Principal), Series 66 (Combined State Securities and Investment Adviser Representative), and Series 7 (General Securities Representative) from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in 2016 and 2015 respectively.
