David Warriner has a diverse range of work experience spanning over 20 years. David began their career at the BBC, where they worked as a Presenter, Producer, and Reporter from 2002 to 2005. David then moved to ITV and held the position of Assistant News Editor, Reporter, and Producer from 2005 to 2007. Following this, they worked at ITN as a Reporter and Video Journalist from 2007 to 2009. Warriner then joined Sky News Australia as a News Producer for a brief period from August to December 2009. David later joined Network Ten, where they worked as the Chief Producer of World Football News from 2009 to 2011, overseeing the production and editorial aspects of the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010 and English Premier League coverage.
In 2011, Warriner joined Sydney FC, starting as a Digital Content Manager until 2013. During this time, they successfully implemented digital transformation initiatives and increased content engagement by 60%. David then advanced to the role of General Manager, Digital, Media & Communications, where they led the club's communications, content, and digital strategy. David played a crucial role in developing a global PR and brand strategy, as well as launching high-profile PR campaigns and events that resulted in consecutive record-breaking memberships and a significant increase in club revenue requirements. Finally, Warriner became the Head of Media & PR at Sydney FC in June 2022, overseeing the company's communications and public relations strategy, building relationships with key media outlets, and leading the public relations efforts for the rebuilding of a new home stadium and center of excellence.
David Warriner attended The King's School, Tynemouth from 1989 to 1996. David then pursued a BA Hons in Economics at The Manchester Metropolitan University from 1996 to 1999. Later, they briefly studied Journalism at the University of Strathclyde from 2001 to 2002.
