Andrea Lotierzo

Andrea Lotierzo is an accomplished R&I Scientist with extensive experience in radical polymers, currently serving as Team Leader at Syensqo since December 2023. Prior to this role, Andrea held similar positions at Solvay from October 2019 to December 2023 and has a solid academic foundation with a PhD in Polymer and Colloid Chemistry from the University of Warwick. Andrea's expertise includes the synthesis of polymer dispersions and solutions through advanced polymerization techniques, as well as in-depth knowledge of macromolecular chemistry and various analytical methods. Additionally, Andrea has published five peer-reviewed papers, holds one patent, and has experience in research supervision and teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Prior research involvement includes an international collaboration as a Visiting Researcher at Monash University and work at the Università degli Studi di Milano focusing on renewable lubricants and polyphenolic resins.
