Ernest Mabena

Ernest Mabena has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Ernest started their career as a Presenter/Producer at Letlhabile Community Radio from 2000 to 2002. Ernest then worked as a Training Facilitator at MML Consulting from September 2005 to July 2007, concurrently holding the position of Community Development Worker at the Department of Local Government and Housing, North West during the same period. Ernest then became a Senior Learning Facilitator at Old Mutual from August 2007 to August 2009. Following this, they joined Alexander Forbes Financial Services (U) Ltd. and held the roles of Educator from August 2009 to July 2016 and Inland Manager: Member Education from August 2016 to June 2018. Currently, Ernest is working as an Employee Benefits Counsellor at Sygnia Asset Management since July 2018.

Ernest Mabena has a diverse education history. In 1990, they completed their matric at Ikatisong High School, where they studied Physical Science, Mathematics, and Biology. From 1999 to 2003, they attended Name of School and University of South Africa (UNISA), earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication. At UNISA, they also studied Industrial Psychology alongside Communication. In 2009, Ernest obtained a certification as an Outcome Based Assessor from Assessment College.

In addition to their formal education, Ernest has obtained several certifications in the field of management and professional development. In October 2016, they completed courses such as "New Manager Fundamentals," "Project Management Simplified," "The Manager's Guide to Managing Customer Expectations," and "Working with Upset Customers" from LinkedIn. Later, in March 2019, they obtained a certification in "Developing Executive Presence" from LinkedIn as well.
