Dr. Cynthia S. Visot began their work experience in 1984 as a Chapter Consultant for Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity. In 1987, they worked at Tulane University as an Assistant Director of Student Activities and Orientation. Dr. Cynthia S. then joined the University of South Florida in 1990 as the Director of Orientation and later became a Graduate Assistant and Director of Special Projects. From 2001 to 2020, they served as the Chief of Staff & Assistant Corporate Secretary, managing CEO and Board of Trustees operations at the University of South Florida. Dr. Cynthia S. also held the role of Vice President University Affairs & Assistant Corporate Secretary from 2020 to 2021. Currently, they work at The Registry as a Member, utilizing their expertise in operational and strategic planning, student success, governance, and accreditation. Since 2022, they have also been functioning as the Chief of Staff at Sylint, providing senior advisory for key initiatives, project management, and operations restructuring.
Dr. Cynthia S. Visot holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Adult and Continuing Education Administration from the University of South Florida College of Education, which they obtained from 1994 to 2000. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in College Student Counseling and Personnel Services from Bowling Green State University, which they completed from 1985 to 1987. Dr. Cynthia S. also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Southeastern Louisiana University, graduating from 1980 to 1984.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Dr. Visot has obtained several certifications. In May 2023, they completed The Chief of Staff Association Micro-Credentials program offered by The Chief of Staff Association. Dr. Cynthia S. also holds a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, which they obtained in May 2021. Furthermore, they have a Post-Crisis Leadership Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, which they acquired in November 2020.
