Michael Kerper has a diverse background with experience in corporate development, strategic initiatives, business development, project management, and military operations. Michael currently serves as Vice President of Corporate Development for Sylmar Group, where they lead the company's M&A activity and manages growth initiatives. Prior to that, they worked at EAI Water, leading strategic initiatives, and at SOURCE Global, where they were responsible for global business development strategy and North American business development. Michael also worked at Starbucks as a business analysis manager for international licensing and channel partnerships and completed an MBA at the University of Washington. Michael served in the US Army, where they were a project manager, Chief of Staff to the Commanding General, and a platoon leader, among other roles. Michael also worked at RAND Corporation as a summer associate.
Michael Kerper graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Mandarin Chinese. In 2017, they enrolled in the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington and completed a Full-Time MBA program in 2019. In the same year, they attended the Mandarin Training Center at National Taiwan Normal University for Chinese Language Immersion. Michael also studied at The University of Hong Kong in 2011 for the Asia Institute of Political Economy program and at Fu Jen Catholic University in 2010 for a semester abroad, where they studied Mandarin Chinese. Michael is also a certified LEED Green Associate through the US Green Building Council and graduated from the US Army Ranger School and US Army Airborne School in 2013 and 2009, respectively.
