Thomas Roland

Thomas ROLAND is a Mechanical Design Analyst at Symbio, focusing on the development and industrialization of stack technologies within the R&I department since May 2023. Prior to this role, Thomas worked at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company from February 2015 to April 2023 as a Tire Engineer, where responsibilities included developing consumer tires for European OE accounts, optimizing cavity shape and tread design, and analyzing Finite Element Models. Thomas's experience also includes serving as an Experimental Mechanics Engineer at Airbus, where techniques for structural testing were developed and implemented, along with a stress analysis internship at Airbus Helicopters. Earlier, Thomas contributed to research on earthquake damping technology as a researcher at the University of Canterbury. Thomas holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole nationale d'Ingénieurs de Saint-Etienne.
