Ryan Conlon has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ryan began their career as an Assistant Mechanical Engineer at the National Robotics Engineering Center, where they worked on engineering projects for organizations such as DARPA and NASA. Ryan then moved on to work as a Creative Art Director at the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy, where they led a creative team and collaborated with cross-functional teams to create engaging digital media experiences. Ryan also worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer, a Woodworker & Carpenter at DL Schwarz Inc., and an Electronics Technician at Mr. Appliance of Pittsburgh.

In recent years, Ryan has focused on technical writing and training roles. Ryan worked as a Senior Technical Writer & Training Instructor at BOMBARDIER and Alstom, where they developed and maintained technical documentation and collaborated with cross-functional teams. Ryan continued this work at Hitachi Rail, where they wrote maintenance manuals for train control systems and created training materials. Currently, Ryan is a Technical Writer at Symbotic, where they create and maintains comprehensive documentation for a robotics-based warehouse automation system. Throughout their career, Ryan has demonstrated strong collaboration skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Ryan Conlon attended The Art Institute of Pittsburgh from 2003 to 2005, where they studied Interactive Media Design. In addition to their education, they obtained certifications as a Certified Manual Train Operation Driver Instructor from Bombardier Transportation in September 2019, and as a Certified Training Instructor from the Community College of Allegheny County in April 2019.
