Lorraine Finnegan, AIA has over 25 years of professional experience, beginning as an Intern Architect at Bryer Architects in 1995. Lorraine then joined SMMA in 1998, where they rose to the position of Vice President - Director K12 Studio. At SMMA, they were responsible for managing and overseeing all K12 projects, including marketing, business development, and growth opportunities for the group. Lorraine has extensive experience in the design, documentation, and construction administration of sophisticated building projects. Lorraine also played a crucial role in implementing the design process, coordinating the architect/engineer team, and serving as the day-to-day contact with clients. In 2021, Lorraine became a Member of Chief, a private network focused on empowering senior women leaders and driving positive change from the top down.

Lorraine Finnegan, AIA, obtained their Bachelor's of Science degree in Architectural Technology from Heriot-Watt University and Limerick Institute of Technology in 1995. Lorraine later attended Boston Architectural College from 2007 to 2009 to further their studies in Architecture. In addition to their educational background, Lorraine has acquired various certifications including being an Accredited Green Roof Professional from Green Roofs for Health Cities, a Competent Toastmaster from Toastmasters International, a LEED BD+C Accredited Professional from the GREEN BUILDING CERTIFICATION INSTITUTE, a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official Certificate from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, an NCARB Certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and they are also a Registered Architect with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
