James Elkington

James Elkington is an experienced finance professional with expertise in repo trading and market risk management. Currently serving as a Repo Trader at Symmetry Investments since January 2019, James specializes in trading repos, managing financing profiles, and providing market insights to Portfolio Managers. Prior to this role, James worked at Barclays Investment Bank from September 2011 to January 2019, where responsibilities included managing XVA trading risks as a Market Risk Manager, overseeing the risk of an offshore trading desk, and providing crucial support as a Trading Assistant. James holds a BA (Hons) in Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham, complemented by a strong foundation in finance from Aylesbury Grammar School.
