Vivian Ngo has a diverse work experience. Vivian began their career as an Assistant Track and Field Coach for the Irvine Unified School District, where they taught fundamental techniques and coached teams to championships. Vivian later worked as a Social Science Researcher and Translator at California State University, Fullerton, utilizing their language skills in Spanish, Vietnamese, and English. Additionally, Vivian served as a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow and a Brand Representative/Model for Abercrombie & Fitch Co. and Hollister Co. Vivian also worked as a North American Culture Assistant for the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport. Vivian has a background in the music industry, having been an Artist for Symphonic Distribution and a Songwriter for Bodega S. Currently, they are a Research Assistant at Teachers College, Columbia University, specializing in Spanish and French translation and participating in the AL TESOL: Language and Technology Research Team.
Vivian Ngo obtained a Bachelor's degree Cum Laude in Comparative Literature with a minor in Spanish from California State University, Fullerton, where they studied from 2015 to 2020. In 2019, they also participated in a study abroad program at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, focusing on Spanish and Iberian Studies. Currently, from 2021 to 2023, Vivian is pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics at Teachers College, Columbia University.
