John Ferguson

John Ferguson has over 30 years of work experience in various roles in the technology industry. John started their career as an IS Supervisor at Encotec, where they worked from 1985 to 1991. John then joined DSP Technology as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed real-time engine control systems using C/C++/XVT and maintained real-time embedded applications.

In 1996, John joined the University of Michigan Health System as a Programmer/Analyst I, where they led quality assurance efforts and integrated new instrument data into the laboratory information system. John also redesigned and implemented the LIS schema in Oracle.

From 1997 to 2000, John worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Siemens ElectroCom L.P., where they delivered application development and support for a global distribution operation. John maintained a mission-critical warehouse application using portable RF terminals, Oracle forms/reports, and interfaces for external I/O.

Following their role at Siemens, John joined Phoenix Group, Inc as a Senior Software Developer. John managed a small team of developers and a QA analyst and was responsible for maintaining, supporting, debugging, and improving the functionality of an Oracle application. John also performed data cleansing, summarization, and management to deliver improved marketing statistical data.

From 2003 to 2010, John worked at Federal-Mogul as an eBusiness Team Lead. In this role, they were accountable for enterprise architecture and support of web applications. John delivered technical support, application development, and release management for enterprise application integrations using WebSphere Application Server.

John then joined Harland Clarke Digital in 2011 as a Senior Application Developer. John led and managed a team in supporting a multi-tenanted email marketing application. John'sresponsibilities included capturing requirements, design, implementation, coordinating QA, and customer acceptance for core email marketing engine and customer-facing interfaces. John also architectured and led the development for a new Digital Marketing solution.

Most recently, John has been working at Symphono, LLC as a Senior Software Engineer since 2013.

John Ferguson earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Eastern Michigan University in 1992. The start year for their education was not provided.
