Chester Dawes

Chester Dawes has over 25 years of experience in financial services and industrial companies. Chester served as the COO & CFO at Palistar Capital and Symphony Wireless in 2019. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as the Head of Finance Transformation at Manulife. Chester also served as the CFO & Treasurer at Catalyst Capital Group Inc. from 2009 to 2016 and the CFO (Specialty Funds) & Director of Finance at Brookfield Asset Management from 2008 to 2009. Prior to that, they held various roles at Husky Injection Molding Systems from 2001 to 2008, including Finance Controller (Europe & Asia), Luxembourg Controller, Project Manager, and Accounting Manager. Chester started their career at Deloitte in 1995, working in Audit & Other.

Chester Dawes has a Bachelor of Mathematics (BMath) degree from the University of Waterloo, with a focus on Math, Accounting, Finance, and Computer Science. Chester also holds a Professional Diploma in Accounting (PDAcc) from the same university, specializing in Accounting and Finance. In addition, Chester has obtained certifications in CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountant), CPA (Delaware), and CPA, CA (Chartered Professional Accountant). Chester obtained the CPA, CA designation from both CPA Canada and CPA Ontario.
