Brent V. is an experienced professional in operational risk and cybersecurity, currently serving as an Operational Risk Manager at Synchrony, focusing on information security programs and technical resiliency. Previously, Brent held the position of Head of Offensive Security at Truist, leading penetration testing and red team operations, and significantly enhancing the maturity of security programs. Brent also managed the Insider Threat Program at Lash Group and contributed to insider threat initiatives at Merck and Inside Risk Advisors. Brent's career began with service as a Counterintelligence Special Agent and Red Team Operator for the United States Department of Defense and as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. Brent holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Arts in International Relations and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from Norwich University.
