Laurie Thomas-Sheehy

Laurie Thomas-Sheehy is a seasoned professional in information security and risk management with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as VP of Information Security Risk at Synchrony since January 2017, Laurie oversees the governance and response functions related to risk assessments and regulatory requests. Previously, Laurie held roles at Synchrony as Information Security Risk Management Lead and Enterprise Process Governance Lead, focusing on threat assessments and facilitating process accountability across multiple domains. Laurie's career also includes a decade at TIAA as Senior Business Continuity Manager, responsible for the governance of the Enterprise Risk Management Business Continuity program, and consultancy at Bank of America, where complex business continuity solutions were developed for internal clients. Laurie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stony Brook University.
