Hongsheng Liu

Prior to becoming president of Syngenta Group China, Hongsheng Liu held the position of Board Director and CEO of Sinochem International Corporation. Hongsheng joined Sinochem in 2000 as General Manager of Enterprise Management Department of Sinochem International Trading Co., Ltd. and rapidly evolved into leadership roles of increasing responsibilities in Logistics in Sinochem International Corporation. In 2016 he was appointed CEO of Sinochem International Corporation, Chairman of Halcyon Agri Corporation Limited. In 2018 he was further promoted to President of Chemical SBU of Sinochem Group, Board Director and CEO of Sinochem International Corporation. Prior to joining Sinochem, he worked for the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of China and the Chinese Embassy in Thailand. Hongsheng Liu graduated from Department of Philosophy, Peking University, majoring in Philiosophy with a Bachelor‘s degree. He also holds an MBA from Shanghai Maritime University.
