Phil Borlin

Phil Borlin is currently the CTO at SynkedUP. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Engineering at WebinarNinja from August 2020 to February 2021. There, they transitioned a global team of engineers from constant emergency bug fixing to having 100% of the team work on roadmap features. Phil also delivered a re-platform over 2 years in the making by the target date and cut the AWS bill by 10%.

Before that, Phil Borlin was the Engineering Manager at InVision from July 2018 to August 2020. There, they unlocked latent business value by leading projects that are converting clients to a new version that has been 2 years in the making. Phil also lead resiliency programs that are lowered maintenance window lengths and eradicated failed conversions allowing good relationships with clients to continue. Additionally, they mentored fellow employees including senior and lead engineers, and a manager. Phil also participated in hiring two senior engineers and was active in making eventing (messaging) initiatives a reality.

Prior to their time at InVision, Phil Borlin was the Director of Engineering at Veyo from August 2017 to July 2018. And before that, they were the Director of Engineering Pluralsight from February 2014 to August 2017.
