SONA PETER MBUE

Sona Peter Mbue has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics and data analysis. Currently, they serve as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Syntekabio Inc. since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Syntekabio as an Associate Researcher, starting in February 2019, where they also handled big data analysis. Before joining Syntekabio, Sona worked as a Chemoinformatics data analyst at Soongsil University from April 2013. SONA was responsible for biochemical data analysis, development of 3D databases, and algorithm development for 2D and 3D chemical structures. Sona also gained experience as an Assistant Project Coordinator at DME Korea from May 2016 to March 2017. SONA started their professional journey as an intern at IRAD EKONA in April 2010.

Sona Peter Mbue's education history includes a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Zoology from the University of Dschang, which was completed between 2004 and 2008. Then, between 2009 and 2011, Sona earned a Higher National Diploma (HND) from the Regional College of Agriculture Bambili, specializing in Agriculture, General. Later, from 2013 to 2015, Sona pursued a Master of Research degree in Biomedical Sciences, with a focus on Chemoinformatics and Bioinformatics, at Soongsil University. Additionally, during the same period, Sona also obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemoinformatics from Soongsil University.
