Mateo Osorio Duchamp

Mateo Osorio Duchamp has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Mateo started their most recent position in 2021 as a Product Manager at Synthesis, where they collaborate with teams to build software and experiences for children. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2020, Mateo was the Powertrain Lead at Northwestern University BAJA SAE, where they designed, built, and raced off-road cars. In 2019, they worked as an Engineering Intern at OXO, where they contributed to product testing and design decisions. From 2018 to 2018, they were a Product Design Engineer at Bifrost Biolabs, responsible for developing biotechnology equipment. Mateo also gained experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Katalyst Technologies in 2018, where they worked on various engineering projects. In 2015, they interned as a Sales Executive at Industrias Ales C.A., and in 2014, they worked as an Intern Mechanic at Álvarez Barba S.A. and Case IH. Through their internships, Mateo developed skills in automotive maintenance and heavy machinery operations.

Mateo Osorio Duchamp completed their high school education at Colegio Nueva Granada, receiving a High School Diploma in 2016. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University from 2016 to 2020. Building on their undergraduate studies, Mateo joined The Graduate School at Northwestern University in 2020 for a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science, which they completed in 2021.
