Andrew Bugg

Andrew Bugg has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Andrew started their career in 2004 as a Counselor and Sailing Instructor at Kilcoo Camp. From there, they worked at Newman Technologies Inc. from 2008 to 2017, where they held various roles such as Design Engineer, Engineering Manager, and Technical Director, focusing on Electron Beam PVD Coating Technology and manufacturing process development.

In 2014, Andrew became the President of Rideau Curling Club, a position they held until 2017.

Currently, Andrew works at Syntronic - A Global Design House, where they have held different positions since 2017. Their roles at Syntronic include RF Hardware Designer, RF Hardware Designer & Team Lead, Engineering Manager RF Systems, Power Amplifier, Antenna & Integration, and most recently, Engineering Director. In these roles, they have led multi-disciplined teams focused on Radio Hardware development, managed time-plans and build schedules, coordinated cross-functional groups, and worked closely with project management to deliver on project milestones.

Andrew Bugg attended Northen Secondary School from 2000 to 2004. However, there is no information provided regarding the degree they obtained or the field of study during this time. Following their secondary education, Andrew pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Ottawa from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Andrew has also acquired additional certifications. In December 2019, they obtained a certification in Leadership for Success from the Stratford Managers Corporation. Furthermore, in July 2015, they obtained a Smart Serve certification from Smart Serve Ontario.
