James Regan

Jim is the Eastern region leader for Syska Hennessy Group and has nearly 40 years of experience. He manages over 250 professionals in nine offices along the East Coast. In this role, Jim ensures the highest level of technical excellence, project delivery, client focus, efficiency in operations, and collaboration among project teams across all his offices. Not only does Jim make client satisfaction a top priority, but he values his internal team members and understands the importance of their roles. “I feel it’s all about putting your team members’ wants and desires above your own,” he says, “and to treat others with the utmost respect and maintain a positive outlook in all that you do.”

Jim is a graduate of the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. In 1978, Jim joined his father at Syska Hennessy Group as a mechanical engineer to follow in his footsteps. He was focused on mechanical engineering and project management for various market sectors, including higher education, broadcast and entertainment, healthcare, and critical facilities.

Recently, Jim won the ACEC 2109 Silver Award for Infrastructure Study at 333 Westchester AVE, White Plains, NY and the ACEC 2020 Platinum Award for the Empire State Building Observatory in New York, NY. He is an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the 7×24 Exchange International, and AFCOM.
