Nadir Sidi

Nadir Sidi has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Nadir is currently working at SYSO Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer since January 2022. Prior to this, Nadir worked at Aypa Power as a Senior Data Engineer from November 2020 to December 2021, where they collaborated with the Director of Data Science to develop internal software systems utilizing AWS and serverless abstracted services.

Before Aypa Power, Nadir was employed at Enel X. Nadir held multiple roles within the company, including Big Data Engineer from March 2020 to October 2020, Software Engineer in Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Analytics from January 2019 to March 2020, and Analytics Developer from June 2017 to December 2018. In these roles, they communicated with customers to provide data-driven insights, structured data, and engineered features for machine learning algorithms.

Prior to Enel X, Nadir worked at EnerNOC as an Energy Analyst from January 2016 to June 2017. Nadir closely worked with customers to understand energy usage and developed custom and production-level analytics.

Nadir started their career at thinkstep as a Consultant from December 2013 to December 2015. Here, they assisted clients in understanding the environmental life cycle impacts of their products and managed consulting projects involving complex data analysis.

Nadir also has experience in the nuclear engineering field. Nadir worked at Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation as a Reactor Operations Engineer from December 2010 to December 2013. In this role, they trained Naval officers and enlisted students on the safe operation of shipboard nuclear plant systems.

Additionally, Nadir gained experience as a Peer Tutor and Grader at Carnegie Mellon University from September 2008 to May 2010.

Before these roles, Nadir had internships at National Fuel Gas as an Engineering Services Intern in 2009, where they analyzed a section of natural gas pipeline, and at The Interstate Natural Gas Association of America as an Engineering and Research Intern in 2008. Nadir also worked at FedEx Ground as a Package Handler in 2007.

Overall, Nadir Sidi has a strong background in software engineering, data engineering, analytics, energy analysis, consulting, and nuclear engineering.

Nadir Sidi completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications including Intermediate Python for Data Science and Intro to Python for Data Science from DataCamp in 2017. Nadir also completed Network Analysis in Python (Part 1) from DataCamp in the same year. Recently, in 2021, Nadir achieved the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
