Alfonso Ruiz has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Alfonso started their career in 1995 as a Support Administrator at LCFIB, and later worked as an Infrastructure Specialist at Laboratorio Gelos, S.A. In 1999, they became the Chief of IT Infrastructure at Uniland, where they stayed until 2008 when they joined Portland Valderrivas as the Chief Technology Officer and Director of IT Infrastructures and Communications. From 2009 to 2014, Ruiz held various positions at FCC, including Enterprise Computing Manager, Transformation Program Manager, and Chief of ICT Design & Strategy. Alfonso then joined T-Systems as Lead Deal Solution Manager from 2015 to 2016, before becoming the Head of Solution Design and Architecture until 2020. Currently, they are working at T-Systems Iberia as the Head of Public Cloud, where they provide expert guidance in AWS, Azure, and GCP, manages the Architecture and DevOps team, and advises clients on cloud migrations and transformations.
Alfonso Ruiz earned a Grado en Ingeniería in Ingeniería Informática from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 1989-1995. In 2003-2004, they pursued a degree in IT Management (MGTI) at Universitat Ramon Llull. Additionally, they obtained a Licenciatura en Informatica - Ingenieria Superior en Informatica from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya between 1989-1994. Alfonso also holds various certifications, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2022 and ITIL Foundation V3 from itsM in 2017. In 2018, they obtained the certification 70-533: Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions from Microsoft, and in the same year, they received the Microsoft Specialist certification for Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions.
