Teddy Diggs is an award-winning chef, restaurateur and life-long disciple of hospitality. Teddy discovered his love for food and hospitality at an early age and his fertile passion for cooking led him to pursue his education at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. Upon graduation, Teddy embraced significant opportunities in our nation’s capital where he worked, and later managed, some of the city’s top eateries. He was then lured to Martha’s Vineyard to preside over notable island outposts including the Beach Plum Inn, a frequent dining spot for President Obama and the First Lady. Teddy moved to North Carolina’s Triangle area to helm the kitchen at the Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill where he was the executive chef, later becoming an executive manager for the hotel as the food and beverage director where he led the charge of the bar and wine programs as well as managing all services, banquets, and special events. After leaving his position at the Siena Hotel, Teddy began consulting for notable clients in the Triangle area and then made the decision to open his own restaurant, Coronato, in Carrboro, NC.
A disciplined creative, Teddy has been in the hospitality industry since he was 15 years old and he brings the same passion for the business - that which makes his own establishments so successful- to every consulting partnership. His expertise lies in culture creation, creative concepting, leadership and team enrichment and restaurant systems analysis and management.
