Syamala Srinivasan has extensive work experience in various data science and statistical roles. Syamala is currently serving as the Chief Data Scientist at Tada Cognitive Solutions since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Adjunct Professor of the MSDS program at Northwestern University starting from September 2013. Syamala also held the position of Chief Data Scientist at CGN & Associates from August 2011.
In 2017, Syamala joined HBM Prenscia as the Principal Data Scientist and remained there until August 2020. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at National Loius University from September 2013 to March 2015.
Syamala's early career included serving as the Director of Analytics at Caterpillar Inc., where they established and developed the company's Analytics group. Syamala contributed to providing analytical based business solutions across the entire value chain. Syamala was with Caterpillar Inc. from the start of their career in 1989 until July 2011.
Before joining Caterpillar, they worked as a Senior Statistician at Nalco Chemical Company in 1988. Syamala began their career in academia, working as an Assistant Professor of Statistics at Northern Illinois University from August 1986 to May 1987. Syamala taught both graduate and undergraduate courses and conducted research in Statistics during their time there.
Syamala Srinivasan completed a Ph.D. and M.S. in Statistics at Colorado State University from 1981 to 1986. Prior to that, they earned an M.S. in Mathematics from Madurai Kamaraj University from 1975 to 1977. Syamala obtained a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Madras from 1971 to 1975. In terms of executive management, they pursued a program at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in 2009. Syamala Srinivasan also participated in a Management Fellow program at The Wharton School from 2002 to 2003, emphasizing finance, healthcare management, strategy, and leadership.
