Jurian Jansen van Gaalen

Head of Customer Experience at tado˚

Jurian Jansen van Gaalen has a diverse work experience. Jurian started as an intern at MTU Aero Engines in 2012. In 2008, they worked as a computer technician for the Viafrica project at TU Delft, where they prepared used computers to be shipped to Africa.

Jurian'sprofessional career began in 2015 when they joined tado° as a Customer Success Manager, providing technical and sales support to both B2B and B2C clients. Jurian then became the Team Lead for Product Consulting & Technical Support, managing a team of 22 Customer Success Managers. In 2020, they were promoted to Head of Technical Services, responsible for three teams within the Customer Experience department. Jurian successfully improved the automation rate of providing custom instructions and achieved high post-installation survey scores.

Currently, Jurian holds the position of Head of Customer Experience at tado°. Under their leadership, the department has effectively serviced a significant increase in newly connected customers while reducing the budget and maintaining high customer satisfaction. This is attributed to implementing scalable solutions, such as outsourcing support, introducing live chat, and utilizing chatbots and a "Voice of the Customer process" to address product pain points.

During their time at TU Delft, from 2013 to 2014, Jurian completed their MSc thesis on modeling batch crystallization of L-ascorbic acid in an airlift crystallizer.

Jurian Jansen van Gaalen completed their education at Delft University of Technology. Jurian obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2007 to 2011. After that, they pursued further studies and earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2011 to 2014.
