Gianni De Domenico

Gianni De Domenico has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Gianni began their career as a J2EE Consultant at Generali in 2002 and then worked as a JEE Expert at GIP-CPS in 2004. Gianni later joined Carrefour Group as a JEE/BPM Project Manager, where they were responsible for setting up processes for item referencing.

In 2006, Gianni became a Consultant at Swiss Life France, where they helped the development team define a process for making reusable and evolutive components. Gianni proposed a new organization and development process based on Unit Testing automation and continuous build of applications.

Following this, they worked as a Business Process Expert at Tyredating, where they helped the company specify business processes and reduce time to market for their tire-selling internet sites.

In 2007, Gianni was a JEE Project Lead and Architect at Generali Conseil, before joining FIA-NET as a Project Director in 2009. At FIA-NET, they coordinated the development effort for the Kwixo application, a new way to pay on the internet.

From 2014 to 2016, Gianni served as the Web IT Director at 4murs, where they focused on developing an internationalized version of the e-commerce website using Ruby on Rails.

In 2000, Gianni joined takima as an IT Project Director/Architect, overseeing JEE development and eventually transitioning to project management. Gianni gained expertise in enterprise architecture, project management (up to 4 million euros), and lean and agile project management methodologies.

Most recently, in 2017, Gianni became a Senior IT Project Manager at ARTE FRANCE. In this role, they manage two software development teams and is responsible for various projects, including the revision of the ARTE Magazine website, development of financial management applications, and proposing software development project process improvements using both classical and agile project management methodologies.

Throughout their career, Gianni De Domenico has demonstrated a strong technical proficiency in JEE, BPMN, Intalio BPM Suite, BPEL, SOAP, TIBCO iProcess, J2EE, and Websphere. Gianni is skilled in project management, architecture, and process optimization.

Gianni De Domenico started their education at Lycée Montesquieu, where they pursued a Baccalauréat in Mathematics and Physics. This educational journey lasted from 1989 to 1992. Following this, they enrolled at Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) in 1994 and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Elementary Particle Physics in 2000.

In addition to their formal education, Gianni De Domenico has also obtained several certifications. These include certifications in Machine Learning by Stanford University on Coursera (obtained in July 2019), Data Engineering on Google Cloud Platform Specialization (obtained in May 2019), Big Data Integration and Processing (obtained in November 2016), Big Data Modeling and Management Systems (obtained in August 2016), Introduction to Big Data (obtained in August 2016), Functional Program Design in Scala (obtained in July 2016), and Parallel programming (obtained in June 2016). These certifications indicate their additional expertise and interests in various fields related to data and programming.
