Mumbi Annstella

Mumbi Annstella is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in growth strategy and operations within the fintech and education sectors. Currently serving as General Manager at Tala since November 2020, Mumbi leads the Kenya operations for the largest non-bank lender in the region. Previous roles at Tala include Interim General Manager, Director of Growth, and Senior Country Growth Manager, where Mumbi focused on market strategy, business portfolio management, and product development. Mumbi is also a Venture Partner at RaliCap, supporting early-stage fintech startups. Other significant contributions include a Growth Strategy Consultant role at Moringa School and responsibilities as a Venture Scout at Microtraction. Mumbi holds a degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and has completed French Studies at Alliance française de Toulouse.
