Dirk Thalheimer

Dirk Thalheimer has extensive work experience in the field of auditing and risk management. Dirk currently holds the position of Head of Group Auditing / Chief Audit Executive at Talanx, a role they have been in since December 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Allianz Asset Management as the Head of Internal Audit Europe from May 2019 to December 2020.

Before joining Allianz Asset Management, Dirk held various roles at Allianz, including Leiter Revision Sach / Vertrieb - Abteilungsdirektor und Prokurist from June 2016 to April 2019, and Leiter Revison Vertrieb - Abteilungsdirektor und Prokurist from October 2014 to May 2016.

Dirk also worked at Commerzbank AG, where they served as the Group Audit Private & Business Customers Abteilungsleitung / Abteilungsdirektor / Prokurist from January 2012 to September 2014, and as the Group Audit Privatkunden Abteilungsleiter from September 2010 to December 2011.

Dirk started their career at Dresdner Bank AG / Commerzbank AG, where they worked in the Group Audit department and progressed to the position of Senior Lead Auditor from February 2007 to August 2010.

Dirk Thalheimer completed their education from 2001 to 2004 at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW), where they earned a Diplom-Betriebswirt (BA) degree in Betriebswirtschaft (Bankwesen). Dirk further pursued their studies from 2007 to 2010 at WHL & Kath. Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, obtaining a Master of Arts - MA degree in International Management.
