Luke Cartlidge

Luke Cartlidge has over 10 years of work experience. From 2010 to 2019, they worked as an Ecological Consultant, carrying out protected species and habitat assessments for several environmental consultancies in North East England. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Research Technician at Durham University, where they used molecular biology techniques to create gene expression datasets, analysed data and presented findings at research meetings. From 2021 to 2023, they worked as a Senior Research Technician at Newcastle University, where they used GPS surveying equipment, GIS software and Python data visualisation libraries to collect and analyse crop data. Luke was responsible for experimental design, purchasing equipment, managing logistics for field work, accurately recording and storing experimental data, data analysis and presenting findings at project meetings. Currently, they are working as a Cyber Security Analyst at Talion.

Luke Cartlidge's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology, General from Newcastle University from 2007 to 2010, and an Upskill in Cyber - Intensive Reskilling Programme from SANS Technology Institute in 2022. In addition to their formal education, Cartlidge has obtained four certifications: GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from GIAC Certifications in September 2022, SANS Foundations Alumni from Badgr (now part of Instructure) in July 2022, GIAC Advisory Board from GIAC Certifications in August 2022, and GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT) from GIAC Certifications in August 2022.
