Z Sun has work experience in multiple roles related to machine learning and deep learning. They started their career in 2017 as a Deep Learning Accelerator Research Assistant at the University of Toronto, where they worked on FPGA-based CNN Training Engine and custom-precision floating-point mult/add cores. In 2018, they became a Deep Learning Architecture Research Assistant at the same university, focusing on a multi-FPGA ML framework and efficient model quantization. In 2019, they joined Intel Corporation as a Deep Learning Engineer, working in the field of deep learning. Currently, since 2021, they are employed as a Machine Learning Engineer at Talka.ai, where they are involved in cloud native microservice architecture and research on NLP and multi-modality ML framework.
Z Sun attended the University of Toronto from 2014 to 2019, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering.
