Naids got his start studying mechanical engineering at the University of Central Florida where he obtained industry experience through engineering internships with United Space Alliance, working on the Transition & Retirement program of the remaining space shuttles, and Universal Orlando Resort, acting as project manager on large-scale design changes. Talon grew out of the senior design project Naids collaborated on during his final year in his undergraduate studies where him and his team developed a prototype virtual reality flight simulator. Naids sits on the Board of Advisors for Orange Technical College, Board of Trustees of the Orlando Science Center, and was appointed as one of Orlando Business Journal's 40 Under 40 in 2016.
