Mazen Abdullah has extensive work experience in various technical roles. Mazen is currently the Chief Technology Officer & Partner at TAM. Prior to that, they worked as the General Manager of Big Data & Analytics Services at SITE, and also served as the Chief Research and Innovation Engineer at the same company. Mazen was a Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning and worked with Lucidya as the Co-Founder and CTO. Mazen also held positions as the Director of the Advanced Technology Research Unit at the Hajj Research Institute and as an Assistant Professor at Umm Al-Qura University. Additionally, they were a Lead Artificial Intelligence Researcher at Misk Foundation, a Researcher at Huawei Technologies, and a Research Assistant at Mitacs and In the Chat Communications Inc.
Mazen Abdullah has a strong educational background in computer science. Mazen completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Umm Al-Qura University from 2002 to 2006. Afterwards, they pursued a Master's degree in Mathematics, specializing in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Waterloo, from 2008 to 2010. Building upon their Master's degree, Mazen Abdullah furthered their education at the University of Waterloo, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Computer Science from 2010 to 2014.
