Nick Farmer is currently the Mascot Coordinator for the Tampa Bay Lightning, a position they have held since October 2021. Prior to that, they were the Entertainment Coordinator for the Charlotte Knights from December 2018 to October 2021. In that role, they represented the Knights by engaging fans with a high energy character and performing at all home games and community appearances, managing Homer’s social media, and creating memories with fans through personal and crowd interactions. Nick also corresponded professionally with community members to schedule all of Homer’s appearances and game day experiences both in the Charlotte area and at the ballpark.
During their time with the Charlotte Knights, Nick also developed two educational school shows that emphasize the importance of resiliency and mental health in today’s youth as well as a bilingual multicultural show that focuses on reading comprehension, analytical thinking, and differentiation. Nick enhanced fan experience by collaborating to develop the first themed website for a sports mascot as well as by sending personalized thank you notes following every appearance.
When quarantine hit in 2020, Nick adapted by bringing our message of mental health from the school show to our fans via social media, create and edit custom videos for donations, start a news video series to keep our fans in the loop, and created many productive tasks to generate interest.
Nick Farmer has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Sports Management from the University of Florida Warrington College of Business, and an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Business Administration from Santa Fe College.
They are on a team with Francis Scheff - Digital Graphic Designer, Marc Chodosh - Live Events Manager, and Justin Savoie - Marketing Manager. Nick Farmer reports to Brittany Austin, Senior Director of Creative and Brand Strategy.
