David Yamin

David Yamin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data analytics and law. Currently serving as a Junior Analyst for the Tampa Bay Rays since April 2018, David has contributed to the team's success in reaching the 2020 American League Championship and a World Series appearance through advanced statistical modeling of pitch data. Previously, as a Data Collector within the Baseball Operations Department, David gathered detailed pitch-by-pitch data utilized for Sabermetric analytics. From 1992 to 2015, David practiced as an attorney at Bingham McCutchen LLP and Adams and Reese LLP, representing Fortune 500 companies in commercial litigation. David is an accomplished academic, holding a Master's of Science in Applied Data Science from Syracuse University, a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law, and a BA in American History from Wesleyan University.
