Alexandria Mesa

Alexandria Mesa is a Supervisory Librarian with extensive experience in library management, currently overseeing operations at the Thonotosassa Branch Library for the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library since January 2017. Previous roles include supervising the materials handling team at the New Tampa Regional Library and managing mobile services for the Bookmobile and Cybermobile. Alexandria has also planned and implemented programs at the SouthShore Regional Library, enhancing community engagement through themed displays. Early career experiences include positions at Duke University Medical Center Library as a Research Impact Librarian and Library Intern, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Reference Desk Graduate Assistant. Educational qualifications include a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and Global Studies from Appalachian State University.
