Catie Finkenbiner has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Catie is currently working at Tamr as a Senior DataOps Engineer, a role they started in March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a DataOps Engineer at Tamr from January 2022 to February 2023.

Before joining Tamr, Catie was a Doctoral Candidate at Oregon State University from September 2017 to December 2021. During their time there, they focused on integrating stable water isotopes as natural tracers within hydrological models and developed new datasets and statistical methods to improve model uncertainties and downscale time series of water's isotopic signal in precipitation.

Catie also participated in a highly competitive data science fellowship program called The Data Incubator in 2021. There, they worked on projects utilizing machine learning, NLP, Spark, TensorFlow, SQL, visualization techniques, data cleaning, and web scraping.

In 2020, Catie served as the Lead Officer for the Society of Women Engineers. Additionally, in 2019, they were a Graduate Research Fellow at the Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, Inc. (CUAHSI), where they developed visualization and numerical workflows to evaluate model output as part of the National Water Center Innovators Program.

Catie's work experience also includes a National Science Foundation (NSF) International Research Experience at Czech Technical University in Prague in 2017, where they collected and analyzed field data and simulated water flow through soils for historic restoration efforts.

Furthermore, Catie has research experience at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant from August 2015 to May 2017 and as an Undergraduate Student Researcher from October 2012 to August 2015. Catie'swork focused on ground validation of NASA Soil Moisture Active Passive remote sensing satellite and various research projects.

Catie Finkenbiner completed their education with the following chronological history:

- From 2017 to 2021, they attended Oregon State University and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Water Resources Science.

- Between 2015 and 2017, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Natural Resources Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

- Catie earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Hydrology and Water Resources Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln between 2011 and 2015.

- In 2011, they obtained their High School Diploma from Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart.

Additionally, Catie Finkenbiner completed a Fellowship at the Pragmatic Institute in September 2021.
